M.TECH  COURSE

The four semester M.Tech programmes in variour disciplines and programmes of these institute is to create and sustain  a community of learning in which students acquire knowledge and learn to apply it professionally with due consideration for ethical,ecological and economic issues.Each programme comprises several core and elective courses,laboratory,mini project , master research  project  and dissertation  .Apart from these,user oriented  M.Tech programmes are also offered by certain department to meet specific programmes in industries.Each discipline programme in a department has a faculty advisor to help the students in the choice of academic options for elective courses. Students may be permitted to do their project work in industries and other approved organizations. Almost all students desirous of placement are placed in reputed organizations and industries after completing their courses of study.

The programmes are approved by AICTE  and affliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University,Kerala.

M.Tech in  Electronics and Communication  Engineering(Specialization in  Communication Engineering)

The M.Tech program is oriented towards research and advanced training in communication engineering. The course curriculum for the post graduate  program gives  the  flexibility  to students to prepare  for doing research . The prominent domains covered in this programme are Advanced Digital Signal  Processing, Advanced Digital  Communication Techniques ,Optical Communication & Networking,Antenna Theory & Design,Wireless Communication  etc.The course  structure provides a mix of compulsory and elective courses,which includes Digital Microwave Communication, Satellite Communication, Information Theory, Coding Theory,MIMO Communication Systems,Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility,High Frequency Circuit Design, Communication Switching and Multiplexing, Wireless Systems and Standards,Embedded Communication Systems etc.Students are motivated to participate  in research projects  in the areas of,but not limited to:Wired and wireless communication,Smart antennas,Signal Processing,Image,Video and speech processing.
